Description
“Worth The Wait” is a tune I wrote with a melody atop the chord changes to the standard “Just In Time” (get it?). Tim Hagans crafted this incredible arrangement a few years ago for a project we did together with the Norrbotten Big Band in Sweden. Lots of Thad-isms abound, and the chart is an excellent feature for the sax and brass sections as well as soloists. It’s pretty demanding but I’ve played it with college and university bands across the nation, and always to good effect. It’s a great chart.
