“Romeo & Juliet” for S-A-T-B chorus, score + parts

Description

Originally composed for my son’s school production of the Shakespeare play, this “Romeo & Juliet” eventually found its way to singer/songwriter Anne Hills. I presented the piece to the Hilliard Ensemble and they performed it as an encore at many of their concerts (audio clip preview).

Nor escape the deepest bed.

Dark needs light, its brighter twin

One without the other lost

Formed together ring and pin

Life the purchase, death the cost.

Lift us, troubled hearts and true

Carry forth these broken things

Capulet and Montague.

This piece for S-A-T-B may be sung by as few as 4 voices, or by as many as desired. It is a simple yet effective choral piece, suitable for professional, amateur or school ensembles. The purchase price includes the score plus individual S-A-T-B parts.
