“ERSKINE” CONCERTO FOR DRUMSET & ORCHESTRA W/ ORCHESTERHAGEN, Florian Ludwig conducting

Maestro Florian Ludwig conducts the Orchesterhagen (Symphony Orchestra of Hagen, Germany) for a performance of the Mark-Anthony Turnage concerto for drumset and orchestra, titled “Erskine” for drummer Peter Erskine (with movements named for each member of Peter’s family). It’s a fun and funky 30-minute piece that expands what’s possible when a symphony orchestra and drummer meet on friendly terms. Every performance of the concert is different. Come and see & hear what “Dr. Um” has to say about the Turnage composition this time around!
