Part of the Jazz at LACMA series

Drummer Peter Erskine’s latest album marks a welcome return to the musical worlds he inhabited as part of Weather Report and Steps Ahead. “Dr. Um” takes the classic fusion sound into the 21st century. This is the album Weather Report might have made were the band still around.

PLUS … the band will be playing new music from its new album (just recorded last month). It’s going to be a funky swinger with some mellow grooves to boot.
